Look Up Camp County Traffic Tickets

Start with the citation itself: it names the court that holds your case, either Camp County Justice Court or Pittsburg Municipal Court. A Camp County traffic ticket becomes a court record in whichever of those two offices issued it. From there, check the court's portal, call the clerk, or visit the counter in person. The docket may list a plea, a setting, a payment, a dismissal, or a judgment. One caution applies. A payment screen proves you paid, but it is not a full docket. Before you pay or fight the ticket, confirm the response date and your current options with the court named on the ticket.

Camp County Traffic Court Records

Camp County Justice Court is the likely record source for county or precinct traffic citations. Pittsburg Municipal Court keeps Class C municipal citations issued under city authority. The city states that citations outside its municipal jurisdiction generally go to the Camp County JP or DPS. The issuing agency, rather than the driver's home address, is the strongest first clue.

The Justice Court record stays with its traffic or criminal clerk at 115 Dr. M. L. King Jr. Avenue, Suite C. A Pittsburg city docket stays with Municipal Court at City Hall. No separate Rocky Mound municipal docket portal was located. A citation record can show the ticket, plea, date, order, judgment, payment, or dismissal, subject to the court's system and access rules.

Which Camp County Office Handles It?

Read the court name, issuing officer or agency, citation number, and appearance instructions before searching. City police and county or state enforcement can route similar-looking tickets to different clerks.

Quick answer: Use Pittsburg Municipal Court for a city Class C citation and Camp County Justice Court for a county JP citation. If the ticket names another authority, contact that office first.

Do not send a Pittsburg portal payment merely because the event happened near Pittsburg. The court printed on the citation controls the record route.

Looking Up a Traffic Ticket

Pittsburg provides a Tyler-hosted court-record search and payment portal. Camp County links Certified Payments for JP payments, but that vendor is not a docket archive. No public JP docket search was verified. Use the citation number when available and move to direct clerk contact if the record does not appear.

  1. Find the citation number and issuing court on the ticket. Preserve the name and date shown.
  2. For Pittsburg, open the municipal court portal and select its court-record service. The public crawl did not verify the detailed search fields.
  3. For Camp JP, call 903-856-3961 or visit Suite C. Ask the clerk to search by citation number and name.
  4. If no ticket is in hand, give the exact name, approximate citation date, issuing agency, and other identifiers the court requests.
  5. Use re:SearchTX only as a fallback for eligible records. Its repository generally excludes criminal case records, so no hit is not conclusive.
  6. Record the response date, court date, plea status, amount quoted, and source of the answer.

Camp County's Bureau-Code Payment Route

The county Justice page links Certified Payments with bureau code 1945708. The public wizard starts with that code and moves into payment fields. It can process a payment, but it does not prove that the citation's docket, plea, disposition, or certified record is available for public search.

The county-linked payment wizard shows the bureau-code route.

Keep the receipt and obtain clerk confirmation if official case status matters. A successful card transaction is not itself a docket copy.

How to Find Your Traffic Court Date

Begin with the appearance or response date printed on the citation. Then confirm it through the issuing court because a plea request, trial request, continuance, or other action can lead to a later setting. A not-guilty request on the Camp JP plea form produces a trial date.

Citation NumberThe identifier printed on the ticket; no single local format was verified.
CourtCamp County Justice Court or Pittsburg Municipal Court, as printed.
Date & TimeThe response, appearance, arraignment, or trial setting confirmed by the court.
LocationJP Suite C or Pittsburg City Hall, unless the court gives another instruction.
StatusPending, plea received, set for trial, paid, dismissed, disposed, or warrant status if public.

For municipal matters, Pittsburg Municipal Court is at 200 Rusk Street and can be reached at 903-856-3621. For county matters, the Justice Court is open Monday through Friday during its published hours.

Camp County's Dated Traffic Forms

The local deferred-disposition and defensive-driving instructions are dated December 2020. They are useful for understanding what the clerk may ask, but every fee, deadline, email address, eligibility rule, and notarization step should be confirmed before use.

Deferred disposition
A local process that may postpone judgment while conditions are completed.
Defensive driving
A dismissal route for eligible requests made by the required appearance date.
Plea
Guilty, no contest, or not guilty, with consequences reflected in the court record.
Disposition
The judgment, dismissal, or other closing action entered by the court.

The old handouts describe a $50 deferred-disposition reimbursement fee, a 90 to 180 day period, and a $144 defensive-driving cost with 90 days to complete the course. Treat those figures as dated source facts, not current quotes.

Pay or Contest a Ticket

The Camp JP plea form offers guilty, no contest, not guilty with judge or jury trial, and a dismissal-with-proof request. Paying can amount to entering a plea and resolving the citation. Contesting requires a timely not-guilty response and produces a trial setting. Confirm the legal effect and current method with the issuing court.

Missed response or setting: The Camp JP form warns that failure to appear can add fees and affect driver-license renewal. Contact the issuing court promptly and ask what its docket now shows.

Camp County Municipal Payment Channels

Pittsburg accepts municipal payments online, by phone card or debit payment at 888-481-1755, by mail, in person, and through a night drop at the northwest corner of City Hall. The portal lists a $2.50 online fee plus a 3 percent card convenience fee. City Hall card payments carry a 3 percent service fee.

The night box accepts cashier's check, money order, or cash under the published instructions. Confirm those rules before placing cash in a drop box. Mail and night-drop channels may process payment without providing a complete Camp County traffic docket, so keep proof and ask the municipal clerk for the disposition record.

Traffic Court Record vs Driving Record

These are two records with two custodians. The issuing court keeps the citation case. Texas DPS keeps the state driving-history record. Camp's defensive-driving form requires a certified Type 3A DPS record, which does not replace the court's citation docket.

When a Camp County Ticket Is Missing

A new citation may not appear in the Pittsburg interactive service, and the county payment vendor is not a docket search. Verify the issuing court, check spelling and citation number, and call the clerk. Give the citation date and issuing agency. Do not wait past the printed response date merely because an online search was blank.

A re:SearchTX miss is also weak evidence because the statewide repository generally excludes criminal records and local integration can vary. The court named on the citation is the proper source for whether it has been filed, set, paid, dismissed, or placed into another status.

Copies and Fees

No current Camp County traffic-record copy schedule was located. Payment fees are not the same as copy or certification fees. Ask the issuing clerk for a quote and say whether a plain copy, certified disposition, or full public file is needed.

Plain case copyConfirm with courtState the citation number and requested pages
Certified dispositionConfirm with courtAsk whether certification adds a charge
Pittsburg online payment$2.50 plus 3%Published payment fee, not a record-copy fee

For the county Justice Court, call for exact fine and cost amounts rather than relying on an old form. For Pittsburg, verify portal and counter charges before payment. A certified record request should identify the exact document and desired delivery method.

Confirming Camp County Ticket Status

Keep the citation, plea copy, receipt, clerk email, and later order together. Compare the ticket number and court on each item. If a payment cleared but no disposition is available, ask the clerk whether it posted to the correct case and request the official docket or judgment. For date questions, use the Camp County court dates route that matches the issuing court.

Deferred disposition and defensive-driving completion require more than initial payment. Use the current clerk instructions for proof, timing, and final status. The older county handouts describe completion statements and course documents, but only the court can confirm that a present case was dismissed or otherwise closed.

Note: A receipt proves a transaction; the issuing court's docket or certified disposition proves how the citation case was recorded.
